RECOUVRA

Frequently asked questions

Everything micro-businesses, SMBs and accountants ask before signing up.

Business model

How much does it cost?

No fixed fees, no subscription. You only pay a success-based commission, between 8% and 15% depending on the age of the claim at submission. If we recover nothing, you pay nothing.

Is there a commitment period?

No. You can stop submitting new claims at any time. Cases already in progress run their scenario through to payment or until you explicitly close them.

Who pays the commission, me or the debtor?

You, the creditor. The commission is deducted at source by Stripe from the debtor's payment (`application_fee_amount`), before the net amount is paid to your IBAN. You receive a RECOUVRA commission invoice.

How it works

Where do the funds land?

On your own bank account. The debtor pays into a Stripe Connect Standard account opened in your name (your SIRET, your IBAN). RECOUVRA never holds the funds — that is a key guarantee for you and for regulatory compliance.

How long to activate an account?

Five minutes on average. The only prerequisites are your French business ID, your business IBAN, and a Stripe KYC validation for the legal representative (standard, often automatic).

Which dunning channels are used?

Transactional email, SMS, postal mail with proof of delivery, qualified eIDAS e-registered mail (same legal weight as paper registered mail), WhatsApp Business, semi-manual LinkedIn. You don't configure each channel yourself: our AI builds the sequence tailored to your creditor profile (industry, size, claim age). You retain pause, approval and channel-exclusion rights.

What if the debtor disputes the claim?

The case is automatically frozen. A dispute management workspace opens, the debtor files their arguments, you reply. No dunning resumes until the dispute is resolved. That is what protects your strategic customer relationships.

Compliance & security

Are you GDPR compliant?

Yes, end-to-end: documented legal bases, processing register, DPIA for the AI module, retention periods aligned with the CNIL (5-year active + 5-year archive then anonymisation), DSAR within 30 days, Scaleway France hosting. Our DPO: dpo@recouvra.com.

Are you a licensed debt collection company?

We operate as a commercial company dedicated to amicable B2B debt collection (French commercial code, art. R124-1 et seq.). We do not perform judicial collection in-house; for litigation, we route you to our bailiff (huissier) partners.

Does my data stay in France?

Yes. Scaleway infrastructure (Paris and Amsterdam datacenters configurable France-only), AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, Vault-ready secrets abstraction. Immutable audit log with hash chain tamper protection.

Edge cases

What about B2C (consumer) debt?

Not yet. RECOUVRA focuses on B2B today (creditor = business, debtor = business). B2C requires a specific CNIL + DGCCRF framework we will not tackle before 2027.

What if my debtors are abroad?

The multi-jurisdiction engine (European Late Payment Regulation) is in place. France and the European Union are covered at launch; other countries on a case-by-case basis.

I'm an accountant — how do I integrate RECOUVRA?

Via the multi-tenant practice portal. Single login, consolidated view of all your clients' aged balances, optional white-label, individual mandates per client. Contact us for a dedicated demo.

Ready to take back control of your unpaid invoices?

No credit card required. No commitment period. Our AI starts orchestrating dunning the moment you submit your first claim.
